HULIN

Hulin are an acoustic duo from Hampshire, covering a range of styles and song to suit all types of audiences. With their live playlist mainly consisting of various songs they grew up listening to, they also try to incorporate song’s straight from the charts as well as some classics before their time.

Created in 2019 by good friends Spencer Huet and Jack Robinson, they both originally met at a local college in Alton and started writing and playing in many different bands around the local area.

Since then, Jack has been playing solo covers for the past 4 years and Spencer has been writing with other musicians while releasing some of his own material.

Both Spencer and Jack are now looking to expand on the good reception received so far under Hulin, by booking as many shows in the upcoming year and also expanding their acoustic style.

SPENCER HUET

After moving back to the UK from Texas in 2003, Spencer started learning guitar and writing during his School and College days in Hampshire. Through this time and during University, he played in many different bands where they wrote, recorded and toured with their own material.

As time went on with many members starting to concentrate on work and other engagements, Spencer moved to London and started to write and record his own acoustic music under his own name.

Before starting Hulin, Spencer has released a digital EP called “Paradox”, and taken on many side projects, where he would record various styles/genres of music with other fellow musicians.

JACK ROBINSON

With a keen love for listening to and playing music from a very early age, Jack found himself learning acoustic, electric and bass guitar throughout his childhood. After returning from travelling around the other side of the world Spencer put him in contact with people he’d never met before to join a band. This was initially how the two had met through music, from writing and recording as a band to performing and touring parts of the country as friends.

After the band parted and everyone went their separate ways to adult life, Jack decided to carry on with playing live music and set out by initially playing open mic nights. Eventually he took it a step further and set out to play full live sets covering a range of songs acoustically. After 4 years of playing, he decided to start Hulin with an old band mate and close friend.
